And it was another while…
Yes…
Well, having looked back, maybe it wasn’t 6 “moths” since my last post, but certainly more than 6 months. Oops.
So, what have I been up to since the last post? Not much gaming, but a reasonable amount of painting. Let’s see if I remember to post about it going forwards.
In any case, today we have a few pictures from some of the more recent models I’ve painted from the Perry Miniatures War of the Triple Alliance range. This isn’t something I’d come across before the Perry’s announced the range - and as ever, I fell for the shiny new things. There’s also a few reference books that have been purchased as well, and I’ve managed to get through at least a few of them so far!
I’ve got a couple of small forces which have been built up over the last year or so - a battalion of Paraguayan infantry was painted early on, but may not have been shown off (I honestly can’t remember) - and I’ve mainly been working on the Brazilian side since.

First up from the Brazilian side are some foot artillery with Whitworth 12pdr breech loaders - nice little groups here, with one team loading the cannon, the other group firing. A further pair of crews man French mountain guns. There are a few infantry and cavalry regiments already painted for the Brazilians as well (just need to add some greenery to the bases before photography). The plan is to finish off a couple more Brazilian units then move over to the Paraguayans, who are likely to be quicker to paint!
Aside from this, I’ve painted a fair few bits over the last 8 months or so since the last post - though they don’t directly come to mind! There were a few Antares miniatures, the odd 40K and AoS thing (I should probably do a photoshoot for my 40K Necrons, as I painted a sizeable number of them last year, as well as Carthaginians and Romans for Saga: Age of Hannibal). Hopefully I’ll remember to add them as and when I see them around the gaming room!
